Program management contract solicitation process begins

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Philadelphia Office has issued a solicitation requesting proposals for program management for U.S. Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM).

(NORFOLK, Va. - Aug. 7, 2009) -- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Philadelphia Office has issued a solicitation requesting proposals for program management for U.S. Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM).

The government intends to procure this contract as a 100 percent small business set-aside and the effort will support various directorates and programs across USJFCOM. 

The performance period will consist of a base year performance period and four one-year option periods.

The work will be performed primarily at government sites in the Hampton Roads, Va. area. The estimated level of effort is 48,000 man-hours for the base year and a total of 288,000 man-hours if all options are exercised.

Specific task areas include

• strategic planning and program management support,
• process management and program integration support,
• program planning budget/requirements support,
• conference planning,
• logistics support,
• database support, liaison and coordination support,
• technical support,
• technical/systems engineering,
• management information and decision support systems,
• and joint concept development and experimentation task origination.  

The solicitation sets a submission deadline for all proposals to be submitted by Sept. 8.

Command names junior military member of quarter
