Col. Jacqueline S. Walsh commands the Joint Transformation Command - Intelligence (JTC-I).
JTC-I, based in Norfolk, Va., supports U.S. Joint Forces Command's (USJFCOM) intelligence needs by delivering innovative, relevant joint operational intelligence capabilities to the combatant commands.
JTC-I touches every aspect of USJFCOM’s mission of leading the transformation of the U.S. military by providing intelligence capabilities that are incorporated into joint force training, concept development and experimentation and joint integration and interoperability.
Col. Walsh was commissioned in 1982 through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps program as a distinguished graduate at the University of Puget Sound, Tacoma, Wash.
Over the course of her career, she has served in intelligence roles both in the U.S. and overseas including key leadership positions in operations in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Iraq. She most recently served as director of intelligence, 13th Air Force, Pacific Air Force, Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii. As director, she served as the principle intelligence advisor to commander, 13th Air Force and helped execute the command’s intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance mission and space operations regional strategy throughout the Pacific rim.
The colonel has attended many service and joint schools and holds a bachelors degree from the University of Puget Sound and masters degree from Troy State University.
Her awards and decorations include: the Legion of Merit; the Defense Meritorious Service Medal (two Oak Leaf Clusters); the Meritorious Service Medal (three Oak Leaf Clusters); the Air Force Commendation Medal (one Oak Leaf Cluster) Joint Service Achievement Medal; and the National Defense Service Medal (Oak Leaf Cluster).
