As the commander of U.S. Joint Forces Command's Joint Enabling Capabilities Command (JECC), Brig. Gen. Beydler is charged with the readiness, training and deployment of seven enabling capabilities provided from the Joint Deployable Team (JDT), Joint Public Affairs Support Element (JPASE), Joint Communications Support Element (JCSE) and the Intelligence-Quick Reaction Team (I-QRT).

The JECC is designed to efficiently and effectively meet joint task force commanders’ requirements for a tailored team of experts in plans, operations, information superiority and knowledge management, logistics, public affairs, communications and intelligence. It also serves as the single point of contact within U.S. Joint Forces Command to provide expertise in these various areas. 

A naval aviator, Beydler has served in a number of leadership roles such as the assistant chief of staff for plans at the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing; commanding officer of the Marine Corps' only F/A-18 training squadron and division chief for the joint training, readiness and exercise division at the U.S. European Command Plans and Operations Center. Prior to serving as the commander of the JECC, he was the director of the USJFCOM Standing Joint Force Headquarters.  Prior to arriving at USJFCOM, he commanded Marine Aircraft Group 31 in Beaufort, South Carolina from May 2006 to August 2007.

Beydler's deployments include a deployment to the Western Pacific as part of the Marine Corps unit deployment program, a deployment to Bahrain in support of Desert Shield, a deployment on the carrier USS America as part of Carrier Airwing One and participation in operations in Bosnia - Herzegovina and Iraq. He also recently deployed to the U.S. Central Command Combined Air Operations Center in Al Udeid, Qatar as the senior Marine liaison officer.

Beydler has accumulated nearly 4000 flight hours in tactical jet aircraft with over 3000 in the F/A-18 Hornet. He also has flown the F-4 Phantom and the F-5 Tiger. His personal decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, the Legion of Merit, four awards of the Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and two awards of the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.

Beydler graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy. He attended the Navy Fighter Weapons School (Top Gun) and the Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Instructor Course. He is also a graduate of the NATO Defense College.
