Partnering with us Frequently Asked Questions

Who handles contracts for USJFCOM and its agencies?
Contracts at USJFCOM are primarily awarded through the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, detachment Philadelphia Contracting Office. USJFCOM monitors contracts through its Contracting and Acquisition Management Office (CAMO).

How do I know what USJFCOM is working on?
There are four basic sources which publish JFCOM areas of interest: the USJFCOM website http://www.jfcom.mil ; the website link at Partnering with us to current RFIs/RFPs, which are also listed in the Federal Business Opportunities site at http://www.eps.gov , and CRADA opportunities; the annual overview of long range USJFCOM interests published during the Industry Symposium; and periodic Focused Forums on general conceptual interests in specific topic areas.

Does USJFCOM have a small business office?
USJFCOM supports engagement with small businesses. Contracting small business goals are established by contracting offices utilized by USJFCOM, such as the Philadelphia Detachment of the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk. USJFCOM implements those small business goals.

I have an idea that I want to present to USJFCOM's leadership. How do I start the process to make a briefing?
The Technology Transfer Office has a process in place to provide a venue for capabilities briefings. Start the process by clicking here to contact the Technology Transfer Office by e-mail. During follow on communications, you will need to provide a copy of the presentation, the agenda, and proposed goals.

The Technology Transfer Office will forward the presentation to USJFCOM directorates or those specifically targeted to query interest in the presentation. Interested directorates will work to arrange an on-site presentation.

Who can I contact to request copies of contracts?
Contact the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) representative at Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, detachment Philadelphia. Contact number is: 215-697-9729, or the other relevant contracting office which issued the contract.

How does the JSIC assessment process work?
The Joint Systems Integration Center (JSIC) assessment process is well-documented and consists of a nomination and selection phase, an integration phase, and an operational evaluation phase that determine the maturity, jointness, and warfighting utility of a commercial or governmental C4ISR technology. For more details, please click here.

Can I hook my computer equipment to your networks?
Depending on which USJFCOM facility you are visiting and your individual needs, the answer to this question varies. Please contact us to determine your requirements and how much we can assist.

Do I have to submit my proposal through the Web site?
The command encourages e-mail submission as the initial step in engaging with us. We have an automated process to distribute the submission within the command and postal mail submission must be entered into the system by hand, which can significantly delay the review process.

Can I include an active file or executable with my submission?
Due to security considerations, USJFCOM cannot accept submissions containing active links or executable files. Do not send active links and files with the extension “.exe.”

How will USJFCOM contact me after I've submitted an idea or proposal?
Make sure you provide accurate contact information with your submission. Following initial assessment, USJFCOM will contact you by e-mail, telephone, or mail.

Should I submit company-confidential information during a capability presentaton and other submission processes?
We will ensure that all reasonable steps are taken to protect sensitive proprietary data properly marked by companies.

Can I schedule a meeting or demonstration with USJFCOM before submitting?
USJFCOM receives a large number of proposals on a regular basis. This is the reason we request only a brief one-page unrestricted synopsis on the initial submission. Provide accurate contact information with your submission. If initial assessment reveals a likely match of capabilities and interests, USJFCOM will contact you to request a complete proposal and schedule a meeting.
