Joint
Live, Virtual, Constructive Architectural Environment
The Joint Live, Virtual, Constructive (JLVC) architectural
environment provides a training architecture for joint, service,
multinational, agency and combatant command (COCOM) training.
It is the foundation for a training atmosphere which can
be tailored to meet joint training needs.
JLVC’s
architecture and infrastructure consists of network hardware
and software that integrates instrumentation
and simulation systems.
It
creates a training environment that provides leaders with
battlespace awareness and the
ability to exercise current and emerging capabilities in
a distributed, global exercise setting.
U.S.
Joint Forces Command’s (USJFCOM) Joint
Warfighting Center (JWFC) uses JLVC to conduct joint
training, education, and mission rehearsals. Specific
events include mission rehearsal
training for Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom
as well as other operations.
JWFC
also uses JLVC to support training for homeland defense
and to support planning for
combat operations, theater security cooperation and contingencies
at other combatant commands.
The JLVC environment provides support for training for a
full range of defense and interagency audiences, including:
The services’ active duty and reserve components
The National Guard
State police forces
The Red Cross
Other national and state agencies
