Joint Interoperability Division (JID)
The U.S. Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM) Joint Interoperability Division (JID) conducts interoperability training on joint information management and exchange and provides operational support to joint and multinational operations.
Located at Fort McPherson in Atlanta, the JID enables a mission-ready, joint, capable force by providing training and operational support to USJFCOM under the Joint Training Directorate/Joint Warfighting Center. The JID’s training efforts focus on preparing joint and coalition warfighters to plan, manage and employ warfighting capabilities and technologies, such as Link 16, which form the backbone of today’s net-centric operations.
Approximately 1,800 U.S. and 400 allied students attend JID training annually through resident, advanced distributed learning or mobile training team instruction.

Additionally, the JID supports the Joint Staff by ensuring Link 16 operations within the U.S. and Canada are planned in accordance with national spectrum certification guidance. The JID also supports combatant commanders with a deployable task-organized cell of joint multi-tactical data link experts, support personnel, trainers and equipment to augment existing theater interface control operations.
