Joint Interoperability Division (JID)
U.S. Joint Forces Command’s (USJFCOM) Joint Interoperability Division (JID) conducts premier interoperability training on joint information management and exchange.
Located at Ft. McPherson in Atlanta, the JID provides training and operational support to USJFCOM enabling a mission-ready, joint-capable force. The JID offers a variety of operational exchange and communication classes to all services, defense department contractors and civil-military staff members.
The JID’s training efforts focus on preparing joint warfighters to support the various tactical data systems such as Link 16 which form the backbone of today’s net-centric operations.
These systems keep commanders aware of the location of their forces, their allies and the enemies and the factors which affect their decisions.
Thousands of students have attended the numerous classes offered as residence courses at the JID, through advanced distributed learning sites or attended classes offered through Mobile Training Teams around the world. Available training courses include:
Link 16 Joint Interoperability Course
Multi-Tactical Digital Link Advanced Joint Interoperability Course (MAJIC)
Link-16 Planner’s Course
Joint Interface Control Officer Course
Joint Tactical Air Operations Interoperability Executive Course
U.S. Message Text Format–Automated Message Preparation Course
U.S. Message Text Format–Manager Course
Additionally, the JID’s Operational Support Branch supports USJFCOM with a rapidly deployable task-organized cell of joint multi-TDL experts, support personnel, trainers, and equipment to augment existing theater interface control operations.
