Intelligence - Quick Reaction Team (I - QRT)

Joint Enabling Capabilities Command’s (JECC) Intelligence-Quick Reaction Team (I – QRT) provides military and civilian intelligence professionals with targeting and collection management expertise to a joint task force within hours of notification.

I – QRT is readily deployable and made available for USJFCOM JECC employment under operational control of the receiving command. I – QRT provides a rapid response to fill high demand / low density gaps between requirements and force provision response timelines.

The deployed I – QRT may consist of up to four targeteers and four collection managers that are highly trained individuals and maintain specific qualifications in their respective areas of expertise and are tailored to support individual combatant commander requirements.

When not deployed, I – QRT personnel become familiar with theater requirements and procedures by regularly participating in exercises sponsored by unified commands and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, conduct integration training with other joint enabling capabilities and maintain proficiency in targeting and collection management skill sets.

JECC’s I – QRT has deployed in support of:

  • Task Force Ramadi, Iraq
  • International Security Assistance Force, Afghanistan
  • Other Coalition Forces, Iraq
  • Operation Iraqi Freedom
  • Numerous joint training exercises
