With
a combined total of more than 4,900 employees, Allied Command
Transformation (ACT) and U.S. Joint Forces Command’s
(USJFCOM) annual economic impact includes:
• USJFCOM
Military/Civilian Salary: More than $188 million
• ACT Salary: More than $48 million
• USJFCOM Contracts: More than $476 million
• USJFCOM Operating Budget: More than $621 million
• NATO Operating Budget: More than $ 153 million
Building construction and leasing:
• Over 1 million square feet in Norfolk and Suffolk.
• USJFCOM leases more than 642,000 square feet in Suffolk at
a cost of $16 million.
• ACT is currently undergoing renovations and an expansion
project which will increase ACT's footprint by 83,000 square
feet at a cost of more than $30 million.
As technological advancements continue to revolutionize
the world, USJFCOM continues to increase its partnerships
with a wide variety of state organizations and military and
civilian academic-based institutions.
Partners include: Old Dominion University, Johns Hopkins
University and MIT's Lincoln Laboratories, George Washington
University, Purdue University, University of Southern California,
the Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center, George
Mason University, and the University of Central Florida,
among others.
