Joint Deployment Training Center U.S. Joint Forces Command's Joint Deployment Training Center (JDTC) trains personnel from combatant commands, the services, DoD, other agencies and professional military education institutions using essential tools such as the Global Command and Control System – Joint (GCCS-J) and Global Force Management applications for planning and executing command and control of deployment and combat operations, joint logistics and force management. This training supports overseas contingencies, crisis actions and humanitarian operations. JDTC trains students to operate in a hands-on environment, under the supervision and guidance of experts, by maintaining up-to-date GCCS-J networks, data, scenarios and curriculum that mirror real-world operations. Specific JDTC applications include the Joint Operation Planning and Execution System, Common Operational Picture, Integrated Imagery and Intelligence, Joint Capabilities Requirements Manager and Global Combat Support System. JDTC provides deployment, situational awareness and force management subject matter expertise to combatant command, service and agency exercise events. Instructors support exercise planners and participants with formal training and after action reporting. Based at Fort Eustis, Va., JDTC offers four secure classrooms for resident training as well as mobile training teams for 23 locations around the world. Additionally, JDTC provides distributed learning products such as a facilitated virtual campus that offers self-paced online courses.
