Communications Support Element
The Joint Enabling Capabilities Command’s (JECC) Joint Communications Support Element (JCSE), headquartered at MacDill Air Force Base, Fla., provides tactical communications packages tailored to the specific needs of a full joint task force headquarters (JTF HQ) and to a joint special operations task force.
JCSE has the unique ability to solve communications and interoperability problems between services, coalitions and host nation partners and has led the way in incorporating the latest communications technologies to better enable the joint force commander.
As a joint airborne / deployable communications organization, the capabilities of the JCSE include:
Expeditionary – Deploy in hours
Early entry for 40 seat joint command and control node
Commercially air transportable
Seamlessly scales support from an early-entry package to a full JTF
Access to a full range of Department of Defense (DOD) and commercial networks
JCSE is comprised of a headquarters squadron and three active duty line squadrons. It also includes the Georgia Air National Guard’s 224th Joint Communications Support Squadron, headquartered in Brunswick, Ga., the Florida Air National Guard’s 290th Joint Communications Support Squadron and the Army Reserve’s 4th Joint Communications Squadron, both based with JCSE at MacDill Air Force Base. These joint active duty, guard and reserve personnel can globally deploy within hours of notification to provide command, control, communications and computers support to geographic combatant commands and U.S. Special Operations Command.
JCSE provides dependable and timely tactical communications in support of missions spanning the globe. It combines highly motivated and trained joint personnel and leading edge equipment to provide the capability to respond to any level of conflict worldwide.
